The most helpful way to support the mission and ministry of FirstPres is to give financially. Our budget is driven primarily by our homeless shelters and services, which are funded in partnership with the County. However, the services we provide, and the number of individuals we are trying to serve, now exceed our funding. We need individuals to help sustain this work.

We have no funding foundation, no billionaires behind our curtains. The average donation we receive is approximately $50/month. A recurring gift is most helpful.

Item Donations

Our primary needs are the basics (men and women, adult sizes). Next time you’re at the store, grab an extra pack to donate! These basic items listed here may be dropped at the Church Office during weekday business hours. All donations must be clean and in good condition.

Essentials:

  • Underwear (new only)

  • Socks (new only)

  • Towels

  • Blankets

  • Sneakers/Tennis Shoes

  • Adult Clothes (all sizes, no formalwear)

  • Outerwear

  • Rain ponchos

  • Hand warmers (single use)

  • Deodorant

  • Toothbrushes & Toothpaste

Extras:

  • Puzzles (used okay, please ensure all pieces are included!)

  • Craft Supplies (gently used okay!)

  • Markers (gently used okay)

  • Adult Coloring Books (new)

Items we do not take:

  • Children’s items/toys/clothes

  • Household items

  • WIPES OF ANY KIND! (We know it seems like a good idea, but wipes destroy our plumbing, and therefore are not allowed in our shelter.)
